    Job Title: Electrical Utility Technician

    Job Purpose

    To provide day-to-day electrical maintenance of utility equipment

    Key Accountabilities

    • Provide day-to-day electrical maintenance of utility equipment such as Steam Boilers, Air Compressors, Nitrogen Delivery Systems, Cooling Towers, HVAC Units, Chillers, and other associated equipment
    • Understand and update electrical drawings as needed, keep records of all electrical testing
    • Install minor additions to the existing utilities system, including conduit and wiring
    • Inspect, clean, test, repair, or replace motors
    • Inspect, programming, servicing, and repairing VFD's is a desirable job function
    • Maintain wiring systems for power supply and lighting is essential
    • Complete preventative maintenance and crash maintenance within the unit
    • Be aware of and observe work standards and procedures
    • Follow all safety protocols
    • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

    Level of Accountabilities

    To complete tasks that are assigned and to perform the duties required by the job. Be present for proper shifts.

    Core Competencies

    Reading, writing, measuring and mathematics.

    Knowledge of electricity and electrical systems.

    Knowledge of DCS, PLC, and BAS.

    Also, computer knowledge with touch screen capabilities. 

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 5 years of relevant experience required
    • Demonstrated experience using and maintaining DCS, PLC, and BAS is required
    • Experience in instrumentation and control valve troubleshooting and maintenance is desirable
    • Good command of written and spoken English
    • Controlling operations of equipment or systems
    • Working at heights of 10 feet or greater, operating lifting devices, and entering confined spaces
    • Working in warm temperatures with no air conditioning, working outside at times during colder weather, doing physically demanding work in a dirty environment.
    • Mobility throughout the facility.
    • Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, crouch or crawl.
    • Employee must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis.
