    Job Title: Instrumentation Technician

    Job Purpose

    To operate a variety of industrial utility equipment and provide basic equipment maintenance

    Key Accountabilities

    • Test, calibrate, repair, and inspect monitoring devices
    • Perform regular inspections to identify defects
    • Maintain calibration documentation and calibration procedures
    • Coordinate with management to determine deadlines for the assigned tasks
    • Recommend upgrades and modifications to improve system performance
    • Understand drawings, technical manuals and instructions
    • Mentor and guide other technicians when required
    • Report completed and ongoing tasks to Supervisor daily
    • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

    Level of Accountabilities

    To complete tasks that are assigned and to perform the duties required by the job. Be present for proper shifts.

    Must complete Hankook training in both mechanical and electrical education and attend advanced training for PdM lab equipment.

    Core Competencies

    Reading, writing, measuring and mathematics.

    Knowledge of electricity and electrical systems.

    Also, computer knowledge with touch screen capabilities. 


    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Relevant experience preferred
    • Advanced proficiency in mechanical knowledge of typical plant and building equipment such as compressors, fans, speed increaser and gear reducers
    • Good command of written and spoken English
    • Must have strong mathematical foundation
    • Knowledge of wiring diagrams and schematics, electronic operation and functions of electronic parts.
    • Strong reading comprehension, problem solving, critical and analytical thinking.
    • Clear written and spoken communication, detail-orientated problem solving, clear judgment and decision making.
    • While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; to reach with hands and arms; and to talk and hear.
    • Mobility throughout the facility.
    • Employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, crouch or crawl.
    • Employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
